During the recent years a trend of increasing the quality and the design of the packages of chips, snacks and nuts appears on the Bulgarian market. When selecting the packaging for chips or snacks, the used material is better to be suitable for the design vision and attitude of the market. It is advisable for the package to contain a metalized layer, which will increase the suitability of the product.

The most commonly packaging used for chips and snacks are:

Packaging which is for nuts should protect the product from moisture, sunlight, and also should not let any gases. Nuts are a product with short suitable term that is why it is better to invest in a little more expensive package that will reduce the amount of waste production on the market. The best barrier properties have packages which contain aluminum (AL), then metalized polyester (MET PET), polyester (PET), metalized polypropylene (MET OPP) and the lowest barrier properties have the transparent polypropylene (OPP).
